TRENCH & DENIM: KILLER MATCH

TRENCH & DENIM: KILLER MATCH

Creating a killer silhouette can be easy - or a total nightmare. Either way, the best way to do so is to know yourself. By saying this, I mean to know what suits you. No need to go for a therapy! As you already know, fashion is about experimenting. To discover your style, you have to play with clothes, makeup and attitudes. Exactly like kids.

Once you know, it will be much easier to take risks with your look, but moreover to feel confident.  In this post, I aimed to create a perfect outfit with a strong denim piece. I had this incredible jumpsuit in my closet for few weeks and I definitely needed to shoot it! So I started to think of creating a silhouette based on this jumpsuit.

I selected a dark orange fluid trench, metallic shades and glittery flats. This is a day look, so no need to go over the top. You want to look fabulous, not like someone going to a wedding who got lost! Do you get my point? Yes, obviously. Looking edgy and at the same time easygoing is your main goal. Just like if you didn't plan your outfit and you left your home without having a look in the mirror.

Here are all the details to create this killer look!

#DETAILSMATTER

If this style inspires you and you want to reproduce it or part of it, here are some tricks and tips.

Pay attention to the proportion: I know I already talked about it in previous posts, but it is truly one of the keys to create a killer look. This particular outfit is composed of a fluid orange trench and a denim jumpsuit. The goal here was to balance the fluidity and the lose aspect of the trench with a close-to-the-body denim jumpsuit. If you want to accentuate the effect, you can add a belt to emphasize your waist. To give the impression you're taller, roll the legs of the jumpsuit. Small details are making a killer look.

Play with colors: Of course you can play safe and go for a beige trench. But where is the fun? I don't like to look like everyone - no I don't, dear! Colors are a good way to stand out. I always dreamt to have a trench, but I was not fond of the usual colors. So when I discovered this one in a shop in Hambourg, my heart melted! And let's be honest it really match with the blue shade of the denim. It was an obvious match for this outfit. I just had to complete the look with great shoes and sunglasses. I chose them in metallic shades to give more edge to the silhouette.

What about the makeup?: For this look, I recommend you go for a natural shades. The important point is to work on you stain. It needs to be flawless. Concerning the lips, I recommend to go for light orange shade. The idea is to look natural with just a light touch of color to create a "heathy glow" effect. For the eyes, choose light pink and light brown eyeshadows. The pink one should be a close to your complexion for a natural effect. Finish the beauty look, by applying a dark volumizing mascara.
