SPRING LOOK: OUT TO CREATE AN OFF THE BEATEN TRACK OUTFIT
It is funny how many prerogatives we have on how we should dress. Think about it... It is a bit overwhelming. At least, that's my opinion. And you know what? There is nothing more that I like than going against those stereotypes! This being said, I know what you are wondering? What is the link between this statement and creating a spring look?
Here is my answer: what the word "spring" makes you think of? Here is what picture when I think of spring: flowers, green, bright colors, wind, sun,... All these thoughts are stereotypes. In fashion, stereotypes are not necessarily bad. You can play with them. Use them to create even better looks!
In this specific case, I aimed to created an off the beaten track outfit for spring. So instead of using the flowers and the green color in a boho way, which would be the easy and common option, I incorporated them in a structured outfit. The idea is to use the stereotype in an expected way. Be playful and creative with you style. It is a good way to create one-of-a-kind looks.
Here is my way to create an off the beaten track outfit!

If this style inspires you and you want to reproduce it or part of it, here are some tricks and tips.
Mix and match: Sometimes the best looks are not the easiest one to create. As your goal is to be off the beaten tracks, you better think about it. It may not be the most obvious one. My recommendation? The mix and match! Let's take my outfit for example, shall we? On paper, a green structured shirt, white printed pants and holographic sneakers are not really made to go together. But, once I had put everything on, I loved it! It is a total mix and match!
Be carefully with proportions: In order to style an harmonious silhouette, you have to pay attention to the proportions. Balance is the key word. The shape of the shirt should be compensated by the fitted pants.
What about the makeup?: For this look, I recommend you go for bright lips. Why? First, you will probably wear sunglasses. Secondly, it is to wear bright colors on you lips rather on your eyelids. However, if you prefer to go for the eyes, than go for it! For this particular outfit, I chose to focus on my lips. I really love bright pinks, so I applied a shade that matched the outfit. The important point is to work on you stain. So it will be flawless!
