How to style a pencil skirt without looking like going to work? Easy! Twist it. How? With a man jacket. We all tend to underestimate the potential of the menswear. Girl, it's time to steel your boyfriend, brother, father, grandfather - hey you may have the most stylish grandpa of all, who knows? - to create the ultimate outfit!

But first, why using a man jacket? For many reasons actually. It is oversized, so it perfectly balance the pencil skirt. It also breaks the rigidity or classic look of the skirt. As the idea is to twist it to create an edgy casual silhouette, it fulfill the requirements. Don't you think my darling?

What if you don't have or don't like man jacket? Then go for a man shirt - b**** stole Victoria Beckham's look! - or whatever oversized top you got as long it give an edgy shade to the outfit.

To twist the outfit a bit more, I completed the look with a texturized cropped jumper, printed ankle boots and a faux-fur backpack.

Casual accessories: For this look, you definitely need accessories but not the conspicuous ones - so put back the bling where it belong. As an example, I selected two silver rings and silver minimalistic earrings. The three are the simple and quite thin. Their job is to complete the look effortlessly. Remember that if it seems too much, take it off! Selecting the accessories should be a no brainer for this one !

Be carefully with proportions: In order to style an harmonious silhouette, you have to pay attention to the proportions. Balance is the key word. The shape of the pencil skirt, really close to the body, should be compensated by the oversized jacket. If you want to go for a cropped jumper, as the one of the silhouette, just remember to choose it kind of loose.

What about the makeup?: You know what's good about this outfit? You can choose whatever makeup style you want. I chose to do a clear stain with peach lips and peach eyeshadows with a wet effect. You can also go with a totally nude makeup. Just remember that with nude, your stain must be impeccable!
