VICTORIA PEAK: HIKE OR DIE TRYIN'
Hong Kong is a surprising island. On one hand it is extremely urban and cosmopolitan. The mix of culture influencing the way of life is mind blowing. On the other hand, it presents impressive natural spots, such as Victoria Peak.
Standing at 552 meters, Victoria Peak is the highest point of Hong Kong Island. From there you can see the entire city, but also the other islands surrounding Hong Kong. It is also a breath of fresh air to escape the vibrating city center. Once you're starting hiking at Victoria Peak, you almost forget that there's one of the most populated city in the world few kilometers away.
Here you have to know if you want to go and especially hike at Victoria Peak.

How do you go to Victoria Peak?: You can access the Peak in various ways. Walking - what I did. By riding a cab or a bus. Or by taking the iconic gravity-defying tram - but for that one you better go early if you don't want to queue for hours! Not even kidding.
Be prepared: So like I said, you can hike to go to Victoria Peak. The least I can say is that you better be prepared because the slope is something ! When I saw some poor souls going there only wearing flip-flops, I felt bad. Hiking at Victoria Peak is a real sportive activity. Before going there walking, make sure you have sneakers and a bottle of water. Just saying.
What hike ?: The other question you should ask yourself is: what hike should you do ? I recommend that you start with the Morning trail. This path will make you discover the surroundings of the Peak. To select the trail you want to do, have a look to the different Hong Kong-based website, which will explain you how to access the different trails.
