L'ATELIER ROBUCHON

Happy New Year my darling! I wish you all the best for 2018.

To start the year on the extremely exquisite note, I decided to reveal one of the spot to go in Hong Kong if you are a foodlover: L'Atelier Robuchon. Yes a French gastronomic restaurant. It's really ironic because I've been living in Paris for ages and I never went to the Atelier Robuchon in Paris. So why not trying it when in Hong Kong? - sounding really posh right now!

Let me tell you the whole story - not justifying myself at all! Two weeks before Christmas, I was looking for a restaurant for the Christmas eve. And I have to admit that two weeks was a bit short notice considering that most restaurant were booked. To add a little difficulty to my mission, I wanted a French restaurant, as I was with my family and we wanted to feel like its was a traditional Christmas.

So after facing a lot of nos, I manage to book a table at the Atelier Robuchon. And I was so excited, since it was a dream of mine - and also because I was surrounded by my beloved ones. The one thing I must say is that the menu was absolutely exquisite. All the flavors, the recipes were delicious without being over-complicated. A delight.

The Michelin star menu: You know that a restaurant deserve its Michelin stars when you cannot tell what course was the best. The flavors and the mixing of ingredients was perfect. It's been almost two weeks know and I can style remember the taste of them! It was no just a diner, it was an experience that I wish everyone to live.

Can we talk about the wine list?: What am I saying? It is not a list anymore, it's a book! You should have seen it. Impressive! I still don't get how my father managed to find the perfect wines to match the different dishes. This is extremely impressive!

Book or die: Like every gastronomic restaurant, L'Atelier Robuchon is booked weeks, if not months in advance. So you better book a table , if you want to have lunch or diner there. When I went, I had to book my table two weeks in advance and it was short notice. Just saying....
