FLUO & GLITTERS: HOW TO CREATE KILLER MAKEUP EFFECTS

FLUO & GLITTERS: HOW TO CREATE KILLER MAKEUP EFFECTS

Summer is coming! And what does it mean? Sunny weather, festivals, rooftops, outdoor parties and holidays! For the makeup lovers, it also means that we can even unleash our creativity. It is time for colors and fun textures. Let's have some fun, shall we?

I have always been attracted by glitters in beauty looks. I truly love the way they catch the light. So when I created this fun makeup style, it was obvious to me that a glitter touch would be part of it. Then I asked myself what usual and playful color I could use to create killer makeup effects. I selected a fluo pink eyeshadows.

This is definitely a party look. Makeup should always be fun, so play with it! Take out the glitters and the fluo eyeshadow, here are the steps to create this look.

CREATE THIS LOOK... STEP-BY-STEP

First of all, to reproduce this style, you will need: a mascara, a black khôl, nude and bright pink eyeshadows, a nude lipstick and silver glitters.

STEP 1: The first thing you have to do is your stain. I recommend to do a light and natural one that will just avoid your skin to shine too much.

STEP 2: Easy one! Apply the nude lipstick. The aim is to have nice and smooth lips.

STEP 3: Apply a nude eyeshadow on your eyelids, which will be the foundation of your make. The idea? Have homogenous eyelids.

STEP 4: Put the black khôl under the eyes to have an intense look.

STEP 5: Apply the fluo pink eyeshadow close to the eyelashes. You can intensify the stripe of color by apply the second layer of eyeshadow.

STEP 6: Here is the trickiest part of this look! The glitters. First of all, you need to fix the glitters. To do so apply some vaseline from the outside corner of the eye to the temples. Then, apply on the same area the silver glitters. Just remember the more you put the more it will catch the light. I recommend you to be subtile with the glitters, unless you want to end up looking like a disco ball!

STEP 7: Finally put some black mascara...

... And you're good to go !

If this style inspires you and you want to reproduce it, here are some tricks and tips.

Do some strobing: A good makeup trick that you can use on a daily basis. Use a highlighter that corresponds to your skin tone on the T-zone of you face. I personally use it to lighten my forehead and top of the nose.

What if you don't like fluo shades?: Go for metallic shades. You can use every metallic shades you want: silvers, coppers or bronzes. The most important thing is that you use two distinct shades that are from the same color family.

Keep it simple with the clothes: You have a bright and intense makeup style. This requires the same level of intensity when it comes to the clothes. I recommend you to go for bright colors and black. Do not go for an overcomplicated and super colorful silhouette. The outfit should let the beauty style express itself.
