SEE-THROUGH: HOW TO ADOPT THE TREND
See. Through. Two words. Two words currently buzzing in fashionland. But so many questions going with it. The most important one: do we need to adopt this trend ?
Well. First of all, a trend is a trend, which means that it can disappear as fast as it came. Kind of a boomerang effect. So my answer to the "shall we go for it or not" question will be the following: only time will say if this trend is here to stay, so choose wisely.
Choose wisely the clothes inspired from that trend you're going to buy. Fashion is sometimes like investment. Buy pieces that you'll will still be able to wear years after. Especially when it comes to designer clothes.
But what is "see-through"? Another word to define this trend is transparency. Basically your clothe or part of your clothe is transparent. Is it provoking? A bit. Sexy? Definitely. Elegant? Not always... This is why see through trend is difficult to adapt to your everyday life.
It requires balance from your overall silhouette, confidence and class from your attitude - unless you don't care to be called vulgar, your call!
Finally, before discovering how you can adopt this trend, I would like to say that to look great you have to choose the one piece that corresponds to you. By this, I mean finding the clothe that matches your mindset - are you shy? are you ultra confident ? - and your body type.

Tone it down: Transparency in fashion is edgy and sexy. Good point. However, you need to balance them with more toned down elements. Unless you want to take the risky option and go sexy all the way. Just remember not everybody is named Halle Berry! For example, I created the silhouette picture as a day outfit. Therefore, I picked an oversized t-shirt, which I rolled the sleeves, and sneakers to balance the see-through skirt.
Have the sense humour: When you want to play down an outfit, a good option is to add humour. It can be a message on a top, playful accessories, nice prints. Be creative and try to come up with non obvious ideas. They are usually the best. At first, I would have never mix and matched a bright blue bag with a cloud-patch with leopard printed shoes. It sounded a bit foolish to me. But after doing the experiment, I think this combo is funny - without being ridiculous- and complete perfectly their goal.
What about the makeup: Be simple. So, I would recommend you go for a nice flawless and natural stain with nude lips. For this look, I applied a lipstick really close to my natural shade to give harmony to my lips. What about the eyes? Well, choose either light pink or light brown eyeshadow. Depending on the color you choose apply a different dose of black mascara. The lighter the eyeshadow the more you can put mascara.
