ACTIVEWEAR CRUSHES: FROM BOTTOM TO TOP

Did you make some resolutions for the New Year? Yes? What kind? Did you promise yourself to be more active, to take care of yourself and your health? Basically, to do sport? Yeah... we all did. But let's be honest, for those that are not already addicted to sports of all kind - guilty here! -, it is hard to find motivation.

So, how can I contribute to your motivation? Obviously, I can't bring you to the gym but I can incentive you. Sounds good? Alright. Ready. Set. Go!

What a better way to motivate yourself to do sport than buying brand new activewear? Trust me. A few years ago, I was the laziest person you could find. However, I was feeling that I needed to be more active. So what did I do - except moving to New York and subscribe to the gym? I went to do my favorite activity: shopping - it can be considered as a sport, don't you think? I remember going to the different shops finding lot of choices but nothing outstanding. Nothing that I would be happy to wear, nothing motivating. I finally found the perfect match at Gap Sport - that just launched at that time - and Nike.

If you have anything to remember: find activewear that fit you, are comfortable and that you like. The happiness is the key point! You should be excited to wear your outfits and shoes!

So to help you find your motivation and happiness, here is a small activewear selection from my favorite e-shops and obviously some tips and tricks!

#DETAILS MATTER

Make sure nothing is transparent: Transparency. It is probably the main issue with activewear and the super light fabrics they are made of. Especially when it comes to bottoms. Did it ever feel bad while at the gym when seing a women with transparent bottom? Personally, I did and it kind of traumatized me. Since then, I pay a super close attention to the pants quality when I buy new ones. What do I do? I reproduce some fitness movements that stretch the fabric, such as squats or yoga positions. This way I am sure that no one will see my undies while practicing sport. Oh! One last tip: light colors are the ones you can the most see through!

Adapted activewears: It might seems stupid, especially if you are used to practice different sports. Activewears are made for different kind of activities. For example, you won't use loose clothes to do fitness, but to do yoga or pilates. The crucial point to adapt: the shoes. If you want to be careful and take care of your joints, you have to adapt the kind of shoes you'll wear to the sport you practice.
