PARIS - BRUGES - ROTTERDAM ROADTRIP

PARIS - BRUGES - ROTTERDAM ROADTRIP

As some of you may have seen it on my Instagram feed, a few days ago I travelled across Belgium and Netherland. I did a small weekend road trip between Paris, Bruges and Rotterdam.

My initial plan was to go to Rotterdam to see the Peter Lindbergh's exhibition. When I was trying to figure out which transportation to choose, the idea to do a road trip came up to my mind. I thought immediately that it would be so much fun to be road tripping across Europe. So, that's what I did!

I packed my things, booked the hotel and I was ready to go!

Road tripping is such an amazing idea to bond with your entourage. Personally, I went on this trip with my mother - Come on, I know what you're thinking! I am a mommy's girl (and daddy's too) and I am totally owning it!

To come back to the road trip subject, we definitely enjoyed ourselves. To show you how good it was, I did a little guide for you guys. I compiled all the best spots we discovered during our travel. Hope it will make you want to discover Rotterdam and Bruges too!

Kubuswoningen - An architectural UFO composed of cubic houses! You will either love or hate, but you'll have to recognize you have never seen this before!

Overblaak 70, 3011 MH Rotterdam

Markthal - This building's concept is revolutionary: it's conceived as a residential and office building with a market hall underneath. You will discover different restaurants and stands from various gastronomic horizons. I recommend you to discover the dutch cheeses at the Van Drunen Kaas stand.

Dominee Jan Scharpstraat 298, 3011 GZ Rotterdam

Erasmus Bridge - One of the architectural pride of Rotterdam. A must-see.

Eat:

Belfry of Bruges - One of the two must-sees when visiting Bruges. It is as impressive as you can imagine it - unfortunately Colin Farrell is sold separately.

Markt Place - Located in front of the Belfort, you will find the City Hall and lots of touristic attractions surrounding it.

Markt, 8000 Brugge

Canals - The second of the two must-sees. It is my favorite! Just hang by the canals and you will get the spirit and romanticism of Bruges.

Chocaholic - You do not need to be fond of chocolate to enjoy the traditional decoration of this adorable little chocolate shop .

Wollestraat 27, 8000 Brugge

Chez Albert - This is the place I ate the best waffles ever! Located near the Markt place, this tiny shop will make you crave.

#DETAILSMATTER

When on the road in Belgium, take some time to go to the countryside. There are so many magnificent landscapes. If you're lucky enough to have sun, the light gives really romantic and melancholic shades to the view. Perfect picture material!

Last but not least, as I mentioned above I went on this travel for one particular reason: visiting the Peter Lindbergh retrospective exhibition! It was truly an amazing and emotional experience to live. I recommend it to all those passionate by photography and fashion. Only until February 2nd 2017, go for it guys!
