A BALINESE WEEKEND

If you follow my globetrotting adventures on Instagram, then you now that few days ago I went to Bali. For a weekend... Yes I have the advantage to live currently in Hong Kong and to go on weekends to some of the nicest places on earth. But let's be honest, spending a weekend in Bali is not enough. There so many places to visit, that I understand now why some people stay in Bali for a month. Really: I Get It!

Even though I only stayed three little days in Bali, I tried to make the most of it and to enjoy my time there. I went to see the rice terraces in Tegallalang and the Tegenungan waterfall. I also discovered an amazing bar-restaurant to admire the sunset and stayed at the most exquisite wellness resort.

In the meantime, I also manage to get a little tan. Busy me!

Here are my favorite Balinese spots!

Stay:

Revivo Wellness Resort

During my Balinese weekend, I stayed at Revivo, which is a brand new luxury wellness resort in Nusa Dua. It is a perfect and relaxing setting for a getaway. There you will have a villa that may have a private swimming pool if you wish. At Revivo, you can get a massage at the spa, do yoga and meditation classes or just lay by the magnificent pool. in addition, you will be able to enjoy the delicious and healthy menu composed of local and organic ingredients. I couldn't dream of a better place to stay in Bali. I truly recommend you book your stay in this little paradise on earth.

Eat & Drink:

La Laguna

Probably one of the most awesome restaurant concept I have seen in my life! You have the impression to enter a gypsie camp. The kind you want to stay for the night! Finding La Laguna is not easy, however the place is packed. The reason why? It’s an unbelievable spot to watch the sunset! To add to that, the food and the drinks are really good and not extremely expensive. The service is impeccable. Well I fell in love with that place.  If you get to travel to South Bali, definitely book your spot. It’s so worth it !

Even though I stayed a tiny little weekend in Bali, I got the chance to visit quite an amazing bunch of places. Maybe the « cliché » ones but I mean it’s impossible to visit Bali for the first time and not go see them ! See by yourself !

While in Bali, I visited a traditional Balinese house which allowed me to understand more the way people live, their religion and their traditions. I also went to see Tira Empul Temple, which is one of the most famous temple of the island. Absolutely magnificent! Then I went to the Tegenungan Waterfall. It is definitely one of my favorite experience so far. It is impressive. Maybe a bit packed with tourists, but if you get there early you can enjoy the place in all the ways possible.

Finally, I visited the famous Tegallalang rice terraces. Breathtaking. It’s how I would describe it. The rice terraces are beautiful in pictures. But in real life, you realize that photos don’t do just to them. Totally a must see !
